Container gantry cranes are core lifting equipment in ports and container yards, mainly used for loading, unloading, stacking and transferring containers. They usually have a gantry-frame structure, which can span multiple rows of containers or freight vehicles. Their operation efficiency is extremely high; a single piece of equipment can lift containers dozens of times per hour and stack containers to a height of 6-9 layers, greatly saving site space.
According to the power source and application scenarios, container gantry cranes are mainly divided into two types: Rubber-Tyred Gantry Crane (RTG) for strong flexibility and Rail-Mounted Gantry Crane (RMG) for higher stability in fixed operation areas.
